Commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the remains of his cherished wife, the Taj Mahal stands on the southern bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. The famed mausoleum complex, built over more than 20 years, is one of the most outstanding examples of Mughal architecture, which combined Indian, Persian and Islamic influences. At its center is the Taj Mahal itself, built of shimmering white marble that seems to change color depending on the sunlight or moonlight hitting its surface. ঢাকার কর্মজীবন ও যানজট

সকাল ৭:৩০ এ ঘুম থেকে উঠে গোসল, নাস্তা করে ৮টায় বাসা থেকে বের হয়ে অফিসের উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দেয় সাধারন কর্মজীবী মানুষেরা। অফিস শুরু ১০টায়, অনেকের ৯টায়। রাস্তায় ২ ঘন্টা জ্যাম ঠেলে ভালবাসার কর্মস্থলে হাজির। অফিসের কাজে ৮-১০ ঘন্টায় যে কষ্ট না হত, জ্যামে সেই কষ্টটা করতে হল! আবার বাসায় ফেরার পথেও ২ঘন্টা অপচয়। এই যে দৈনিক ৪ ঘন্টা অপচয়, এর মূল্য কি বা কে দিবে? কেন এই জ্যাম? আমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছি? আমাদের কী করা উচিত? ঢাকা যখন আস্তে আস্তে, নগরায়ন, শিল্পায়ন শহর হচ্ছিল তখন থেকে আজ অবধি কে কে উক্ত কাজে দায়িত্বরত ছিল? তারা কি তাদের দায়িত্ব ঠিকঠাক পালন করেছে? মনে হয় না। করলে আজ ঢাকার এই অবস্থা হতো না। মাথার মধ্যে সারাদিন-রাত ক্ষমতায় থাকার বা ক্ষমতায় যাওয়ার চিন্তা থাকলে, উন্নয়নমূলক প্লান কী করে আসবে? সমাধান কী তাহলে? – সরকারি কিছু অফিস আদালত ঢাকার বাহিরে নিয়ে আসতে হবে যেগুলো সম্ভব। – ইলেকট্রিক রেল চালু করতে হবে যেন ঢাকার আশেপাশের মানুষ ৩০মিনিটে নিজ নিজ কর্মস্থলে আসতে পারে। জানি এক্ষেত্রে যাতায়াত ভারা বেশি। সরকারতো এমনিতেই রেলক্ষাতে ভর্তুকি দিচ্ছে! জনগনের সুবিধার্থে নাহয় আর একটু ভর্তুকি দিক। – দ

Here's what I think can be done in addition to  traffic education ,  general awareness ,  PROVISION of MASS TRANSIT  (a  MUST  for large cities) and encouraging   common commute: Car Pooling....   people traveling daily to same office or surrounding area and coming back should travel together. This way 100 cars on road can be reduced to 25 cars. Organizations should also encourage and support such actions of their staff. As a BONUS you save on fuel, vehicle wear and tear, carbon emission, daily driving hassle and travelling with friends / colleagues is always better than travelling alone. However, this will be most beneficial when companies offer... F

  The Trump administration on Tuesday unveiled new economic sanctions against Iran over its ballistic missile program and for contributing to regional tensions, one day after warning Tehran that it was not following the spirit of its nuclear agreement with world powers. The   US Department of Treasury , in a statement, said it was targeting 16 entities and individuals for supporting what is said was "illicit Iranian actors or transnational criminal activity." Those sanctioned had backed Iran's military or Iran's   Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps   (IRGC) by developing drones and military equipment, producing and maintaining boats, and procuring electronic components, the U.S. said. Others have also 'orchestrated the theft of US and Western software programs' sold to Iran's government, the Treasury Department said. The Sundarbans provides a unique ecosystem and a rich wildlife habitat. According to the 2015 tiger census in Bangladesh, and the 2011 tiger census in India, the Sundarbans have about 180 tigers (106 in Bangladesh and 74 in India).
